Overview
With EMV implementation in the rearview mirror, it is urgent to make card-not-present transactions secure.

The massive undertaking of equipping point-of-sale terminals to accept the cards still lags at some merchants, but recarding is virtually complete and face-to-face transactions have a good line of defense against counterfeit card fraud. The industry must now pedal quickly to bring 3-D Secure, a program to enhance merchants’ fraud deterrence, up to speed as we move toward the next decade.
