Overview
This whitepaper, FIS’ Cardless Cash Access Case Study, was sponsored by FIS and conducted independently by Javelin Strategy & Research.
FIS' Cardless Cash Access allows consumers to withdraw cash faster and more securely at the ATM, by preordering transactions through an Android or Apple mobile device. Cardless Cash Access offers a compelling mobile wallet capability, leveraging cross‐channel interaction to provide customers with a safer and potentially more convenient cash withdrawal experience. This whitepaper provides:
- In‐depth coverage of Wintrust, a mid‐tier bank, as of its 400‐participant trial launch.
- An overview of BMO Harris Bank involved in rolling out “proof of concept” of Cardless Cash Access, and
- Highlights a pilot trial of limited initial scope at City National Bank.
Both FIs reported highly positive initial feedback, with the solution working quickly at the ATM to dispense cash. Currently, Cardless Cash Access is a standalone app, but FIS plans to have it fully integrated with Mobile Banking by mid‐2014.
