Overview
Ongoing shifts in digitalization and payments technology are driving changes in consumer behavior that are ultimately affecting the way small businesses accept and process payments as well as steer their operations. Advances in technology and lending has enabled in-store, online, and omnichannel merchants' access to new customer segments and provided seamless, unified payments experiences.
The report is based on a representative sample of 2,051 Small Businesses with 2021 annual revenue between $100K and $10 million. The online panel survey covered all aspects of the small business payment acceptance and B2B payments. Participants were a nationally representative sample of American Small Businesses as defined above. The survey was fielded between September 30 and October 20, 2022.
